Prior to returning to Rochester and joining the firm, Mr. Adams served as associate counsel for the Board of Veterans’ Appeals in Washington D.C. The Board of Veterans’ Appeals is responsible for determining all of the appeals filed by veterans of the five branches of the armed services. While at the Board, Mr. Adams handled a wide variety of matters including disability claims, educational assistance claims, death indemnity and dependency claims, willful misconduct claims, and section 1151 claims (similar to medical malpractice in the private sector).

Mr. Adams began his legal career as a judicial intern for the Honorable Rossie D. Alston, Jr., Court of Appeals of Virginia, where he prepared briefings for the Court and assisted in drafting judicial opinions.

In 2012, Mr. Adams earned his law degree from the George Mason University School of Law. Mr. Adams graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in political science, and obtained his Masters in Public Policy from the George Mason University School of Public Policy in 2009.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Adams worked for the Builders Exchange of Rochester as manager of public affairs, where he advocated on behalf of the construction industry and worked on numerous public policy issues, including workers’ compensation and Labor Law Section 240 reform.

Mr. Adams is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Monroe County Bar Association.
